Day 1: Bwindi

Depart fromKampala early morning and travel South West. Stop over at the Equator, relax and take pictures. Continue for lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre or Agip Motel in Mbarara and proceed throughSavannah grasslands enjoying the country scenery of banana plantations and herds of Ankole ‘long horned’ cattle. Ascend into the Kigezi highlands famously known as the “Switzerland of Africa” with beautiful terraces and picturesque scenery arriving for dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Camp.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking

After an early morning breakfast and briefing from park ranger guides, start your Gorilla Trek through steeply forested and beautiful landscape along several animal trails. The climax of the adventure is the opportunity to view the gentle and endangered mountain Gorillas which is an exciting and unforgettable experience. After picnic lunches in the forest and an hour with the Gorillas, return for dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Camp. If time allows, you can go for a Community Walk after gorilla tracking.

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, transfer with packed lunch toQueenElizabethNational Park via Ishasha Sector where you may see tree climbing lions. Arrive at Mweya peninsula for the afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes Edward and George. Here you will see hippo, buffalo, elephant and a host of birds. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Jacana (High end), King Fisher, Katara Lodge (Mid range) Simba Camp (Budget)

Day 4: Queen-Kibaale

Early morning Coffee/Tea and go for dawn game drive where all the big game can be seen in abundance. Famous for elephant and kob, expect to see some rarer animals like giant forest hog. Proceed toFortPortal, arriving in the afternoon. You may visit the fabled Amabere ga Nyinamwiru area and proceed toKibaleForestNational Park. Dinner and Overnight atChimpsForestCamp.

Day 5: Chimp Tracking

In the morning you will have breakfast and proceed with packed lunch to KibaleParkbriefing center before setting off for a forest walk in search for chimpanzees. The walk will reward you with other primates like Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, birds and butterflies. After the Tracking, start your journey to Kampala, via FortPortal, Mubende and Mityana arriving in Kampalalate in the evening.
