Gorilla Tracking is a highlight of all visits done in Uganda and certainly mountain gorillas are the major reason as to why very many people visit Uganda. Uganda is indeed Gorilla Country because Uganda has more Mountain Gorillas than other countries in Africa. Currently, Uganda has 10 habituated gorilla groups that you can visit meaning 80 permits per day. Most of these are in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
You have an opportunity to track gorillas TWICE, starting in Uganda and then cross over to Rwanda; all in one Safari.
