Queen Elizabeth National Park

Day One
Depart Kampala after breakfast and drive to Mbarara via Masaka. Stop over at Equator crossing for photographs. Continue your drive to Igongo Cultural Village to explore the life style and the culture of the Ankole and Bahima people. From here proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Kicwhamba Escarpment, where the descent reveals a stunning panorama of Lakes George and Edward amidst game-filled plains, with Rwenzori Mountain in the background. Late afternoon, go for a 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lake Edward to Lake George. The trip passes through possibly the highest hippo concentration in Africa and many mammals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. The cruise offers an excellent platform for photography and game viewing. The bird life is colourful and abundant. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge situated on a peninsula overlooking the Kazinga Channel and Lake Edward.

Day Two
Two game drives on this day. Queen Elizabeth National Park’s diverse Eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Game drives in this park, with the massive Rwenzoris as a backdrop provides excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, cape buffalo, elephants, water buck, Uganda Kob, Topi and bush buck. These two game drives and the boat trips (taken prior) are a memorable way of discovering a vast array of Ugandan wildlife.

Day Three
Early morning depart for Kyambura Gorge. Visitors can climb through tropical forest and catch a glimpse of a variety of primates including chimpanzee. Drive onwards to Kampala, with a stopover in Mbarara for lunch, arriving in Entebbe, early evening for your flight.

Kibaale Forest and Queen Elizabeth National Park:

Day One
Leave Kampala after breakfast and drive through fascinating countryside to Fort Portal town which lies in the shadow of the fabled “Mountains of the Moon”. Afternoon visit to Bigodi swamp, see smaller mammals and primates. Highlights are finding the rare red colobus monkey and the sitatunga. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge.

Day Two
Full day search of chimpanzee and 10 other primate including l’ hoestes, red colobus, blues, red tailed and gray-cheeked mangabey. The guide will provide detailed explanations, on primates, the forest fauna and flora. The walk is both informative and enjoyable. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge.

Day Three
Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park (3 hours) following the mystical Ruwenzori Mountain range for much of the journey. A game drive en route may be rewarded with views of lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, hyena and a variety of antelope species. After lunch, enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos. Many animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge.
This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge, Enganzi Lodge, Katara Lodge or Kingfisher Lodge.

Day Four
Two game drives today. Queen Elizabeth National Park’s diverse Eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Game drives in this park, with the massive Rwenzoris as a backdrop provides excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, Topi and bushbuck. These two game drives and the boat trip (taken prior) are memorable methods of discovering a vast array of wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge, Enganzi Lodge, Katara Lodge or Kingfisher Lodge.


Murchison Falls National Park

Day One
Meet in Kampala at 0700hrs at respective accommodations. Begin the panoramic drive north-west through the famous Luwero Triangle and Masindi Town to Murchison Falls National Park arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, you may proceed to the top of the Falls where you can see the Nile’s beauty perfected!! Marvel at the Nile, compressing from 50 meters to squeeze through a 6-metre canyon dropping 40 meters with a thunderous roar creating a beautiful rainbow, a plume of spray and the best thing that happened to the Nile… “the Murchison Falls”. Enjoy the superb comfort and service of Lodge or Budget accommodation.

Day Two

On the early morning game drive via the Nyamusika plateau, you may see Elephant, Lion, Buffalo, Giraffe, Hartebeests and many more. Afterwards, proceed for a boat trip on the placid Victoria Nile, upstream to the base of the Falls. En-route you will see hippos, crocodiles, water buck and a wide variety of birds like the unusual shoebill stork.
Start your journey to Kampala via Pabidi Forest for a nature walk. Primates resident in this forest include L’hoestes, red colobus, blues, red tailed monkeys and grey cheeked mangabeys. The guide will provide detailed explanations, not only about primates, but also on all the forest flora and fauna and will ensure that our walk is both informative and enjoyable. This walk is excellent for bird watching and for seeing primates at close quarters. After a picnic lunch, return to Kampala arriving late afternoon.

Murchison Falls National Park

Day One

This walk is excellent for bird watching and for seeing primates at close quarters. Proceed to accommodation of choice for dinner and overnight.

Day Two

Bwindi Impenetrable Gorrila Tracking

Starts and ends in Kampala.
Day One

Our guide/driver picks you at 8:00 am from your hotel in Kampala. Drive to Mbarara via Masaka. Make a stop over at Equator crossing for photography. Proceed and stop over for Lunch in Mbarara at Igongo Cultural village (Ankole Museum) or Agip Motel. After lunch, drive to Bwindi. This is a lush highland rain forest and home to the Mountain Gorillas. It is filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps. (9-10 hour drive).

Day Two

After an early breakfast and a briefing by a ranger guide, enter the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular. The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but criss-crossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle and endangered giants is an awesome, exciting experience to be long savored. Many find it to be a rare and moving opportunity.

Day Three

After your morning breakfast, drive back to Kampala with packed lunch. Proceed to Entebbe to catch up your evening flight back home.


Semuliki Game Reserve

Day One

Drive west to the fabulous Semliki Valley for two nights in the place considered one of the best birding areas in Uganda. Toro Semliki Wildlife Reserve is a wild and extremely beautiful area of tall grass, dotted with groves of Borassus palms and spreading tamarind trees and is also home to a variety of wildlife. Boat cruise on Lake Albert. Lake Albert is home to rare Shoebill Stork. Lunch dinner and overnight at Semliki Lodge.

Day Two

Game drive: Afternoon go for a game drive. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight at Semuliki Lodge.

Day three:

Drive back to Kampala via the scenic Fort Portal and Mubende for your evening flight.


Lake Mburo National Park

Lying in the one part of Uganda covered in extensive acacia woodland, Mburo has markedly different fauna to other parks and reserves. Lake Mburo is the best place in the country to see the gigantic eland antelope, aswell as zebra, waterbuck, Klipspringer and the rare topi, impala, and several acacia – associated birds. The five lakes within the park attract hippos, crocodiles and a variety of waterbirds, while fringing swamps hide secretive papyrus specialists such as the sitatunga antelope and red, black and yellow papyrus gonalek.
Lake Mburo is the closest national park to Kampala and offers a refreshing stopover when travelling to or from the western parks and reserves.

Day One

Depart from Kampala at 07:30hrs. Drive to Lake Mburo is 4 hours. Arrive in time for Lunch. Afternoon Boat ride followed by evening game drive. Dinner at the UWA restaurant and overnight at Mantana tented Camp or Acadia Cottages.

Day Two

Breakfast is followed by a morning safari walk. Lunch at the UWA restaurant followed by the drive back to Kampala.

Day One

Day Three

Breakfast is followed by morning game drive, return to Kampala via Crocodile Farm with a picnic lunch.


Mt. Elgon (Sipi falls)

According to Lonely Planet Guide, Sipi Falls is described as “The most beautiful and romantic waterfall in the whole of Uganda” This is the perfect place to relax and explore the foothills of Mount Elgon. Mt. Elgon is an important watershed, and its slopes support a rich variety of altitudinal vegetation zones ranging from montane forest to high open moorland studded with the other-worldly giant lobelia and groundsel plants.
Spectacular scenery is the main attraction for hikers on this often neglected undemanding mountain, but there is also a variety of forest monkeys and small antelope, along with elephant and buffalo. A checklist topping 300 birds includes many species not recorded elsewhere in Uganda.
