Depart from Kampala early morning and travel South West. Stop over at the Equator, relax and take pictures. Continue for lunch at the Agip Motel in Mbarara and proceed through Savannah grasslands enjoying the country scenery of banana plantations and herds of Ankole ‘long horned’ cattle. Ascend into the Kigezi highlands famously known as the “Switzerland of Africa” with beautiful terraces and picturesque scenery arriving for dinner and overnight at Ruhija Gorilla Lodge-Bwindi. Transit time 7 – 8 hrs.

After an early morning breakfast and briefing from park ranger guides, start your Gorilla Trek through steeply forested and beautiful landscape along several animal trails. The climax of the adventure is the opportunity to view the gentle and endangered mountain Gorillas which is an exciting and unforgettable experience. After picnic lunches in the forest and an hour with the Gorillas, return for dinner and overnight at Ruhija Gorilla Lodge.

After breakfast, transfer to the breathtaking beauty and soothing environment of the Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale with a stunning view of the beautiful Virunga Volcanoes. For bird lovers, Bunyonyi is home to several bird species like the African Harrier Hawk, Yellow-backed and spectacled weavers, Levillant cuckoo and lots more birds. In the afternoon, you will take a boat ride and visit some of the 29 historical islands, take a refreshing nature walk or enjoy mountain bike cycling in the surrounding hills. After breakfast, return to Kampala with a picnic lunch en-route and proceed to Entebbe Airport.
