Itinerary

Day 1Kampala-Murchison Falls

You will be picked from your hotel by driver/guide at 8.00 a.m. Begin the panoramic drive North-West through the Luwero Triangle and, travel to Masindi via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. After lunch break in Masindi, proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. Visit the Top of the Falls from where you can see the Nile squeezing through a 7 meter canyon and dropping 45 meters with a thunderous roar creating a beautiful rainbow and a plume of spray. Enjoy the sunset as you drive to Paraa Safari Lodge/ Nile Safari Lodge for overnight and dinner.

Day 2Murchison Falls

Begin the day with a cup of African Coffee ready for an early morning game drive. Your guide will help you spot Elephant, Lion, Cape buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard. Return to the hotel for breakfast and lunch. After lunch, take a boat trip to the bottom of Murchison Falls and while on this cruise you will see crocodiles, hundreds of hippos, buffaloes and a wide variety of water birds including the Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork.
Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/ Nile Safari Lodge.

Day 3Murchison Falls-Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, drive with packed lunch to Fort Portal through verdant countryside and past traditional homesteads and farms along Albertine Rift Escarpment. Fort-Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon.
Dinner and overnight at Kyaninga Lodge/ Primate Lodge.

Day 4Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest and Queen Elizabeth NP

After early breakfast, report to Briefing Centre with packed lunch and start the day searching for chimpanzee and other primates including red Colobus, blue, red tailed and grey cheeked mangabey monkeys. The guide will provide detailed explanations, not only on primates, but also on all the forest fauna and flora and will ensure that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and seeing primates at close quarters.
After tracking, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, with a stop-over at the Equator and Queens Pavilion. Arrive at Mweya peninsula for the late afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes Edward and George. Here you will see hippo, buffalo, elephant and a host of birds.

Day 5Queen Elizabeth NP-Bwindi

Start the day with early morning coffee and go for game drive along the Kasenyi Track. Proceed to Bwindi via Ishasha Sector where you may see tree climbing lions. Arrive at Buhoma, Bwindi NP late afternoon. After a rest, you may go for the community walk through the villages of Buhoma and experience how the local people live.

Day 6Gorilla Tracking Bwindi and Lake Bunyonyi

Begin the day with breakfast ready for gorilla tracking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the Park staff. Ensure to carry along with you a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks or packed lunch, jungle boots and a camera. The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours depending on the group you booked, but it is well worth the effort.
After tracking, transfer to the breathtaking beauty and soothing environment of Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale with a stunning view of the beautiful Mount Muhavura ranges. For bird lovers, Bunyonyi is home to several bird species like the African Harrier Hawk, Yellow-backed and spectacled weavers, Levillant cuckoo and lots more birds.

Day 7L. Bunyonyi-Kampala/Entebbe

Start the day with a canoe ride on the lake after which you Return to Kampala and then Entebbe, with lunch enroute and stop over at Igongo Cultural Centre and the Equator Uganda before your evening departure home.
