Itinerary

Day 1

Leave Kampala after breakfast and drive through fascinating countryside to Fort Portal town which lies in the shadow of the Ruwenzori Mountains. After lunch break, you go for a guided walk in the crater lakes area of Kibale Forest National Park. Visit “Top of the World” for sundowner and stunning view of the Rwenzoris and the Park.
Dinner and over night at Mountains of the Moon/Kyaninga Lodge/Ndali Safari Lodge/ Primate Lodge (High end), Chimpanzee Guest House (Mid range) or Chimps Nest (Budget).Meal Plan B, L & D

Day 2

Chimp trekking In Kibale Forest National Park. The guides will provide information not only on chimpanzees and primates but also on small organisms making it interesting. The walk will reward you with other primates like Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, birds and butterflies. Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park after Lunch. Game drive enroute to Mweya Lodge.
Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Jacana (High end), King Fisher, Katara Lodge (Mid range) Simba Camp (Budget). Meal Plan B, L & D

Day 3

: Early morning Coffee/Tea and go for dawn game drive where most of the big game can be seen in abundance. Visitors will encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kob, a variety of birds and some rarer animals like giant forest hog. Visit Kichwamba Escarpment for a Community/Nature Walk along the Escarpment overlooking the Western Rift valley in which lies Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is an opportunity to see how the rural folk live. Here you will see spectacular crater lakes and participate in community activities like crop harvesting and local gin brewing.
After Lunch go for Boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes Edward and George. Here you will see hippo, buffalo, elephant and a host of birds. There are 638 recorded bird species in the park.
Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Jacana (High end), King Fisher, Katara Lodge (Mid range) Simba Camp (Budget). Meal Plan B, L & D

Day 4

Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park with a game drive at Ishasha to spot for the tree climbing lions. Evening you may go for foot Safari in Bwindi or community walk among the communities living around the Park.
Dinner and overnight stay at either Gorilla Forest Camp or Buhoma Lodge (High end), Engagi Safari Lodge or Silverback Lodge (Mid range) or Buhoma Community Rest Camp/Bwindi View Bandas (Budget). Meal plan: (B, L, D)

Day 5

Gorilla tracking. Begin the day with breakfast ready for tracking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks or packed lunch, jungle boots etc. The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours depending on the group you booked, but it is well worth the effort. Depending on the time you return from tracking, you can spend the afternoon on a community walk around the local communities living around the park, or a nature walk in the forest.
Dinner and overnight atGorilla Forest Camp/Buhoma Lodge/Mahogany springs (High end), Silverback Lodge/Engagi Lodge (Mid range) or Buhoma Community Rest Camp/Bwindi View Bandas (Budget). Meal plan: (B, L, D)

Day 6

After breakfast, drive to Mbarara and proceed to Lake Mburo National Park. Enter the Park through the Western Gate at Sanga and start game drive there. The Park is centered on a series of swamp-fringed lakes known for their rich birdlife, notably the secretive African finfoot. The green acacia woodland surrounding the lake harbours dense populations of Zebra, Warthog, Buffalo, Impala and various other grazers, including the last surviving Ugandan population of Eland, the largest of African antelope. Arrive at Mantana Tented Lodge in time for Lunch.
If time allows, go for Boat ride on Lake Mburo. The lake is rich with a diversity of animal and plant species which will be viewed clearly as you are on the boat trip. Expect to see hippopotami and birds like African Fin foot, Pelicans, Black crake, Heron, cormorant, fish eagle; you may also sight the rare Shoebill Stork.
Dinner and over night stay atMihingo Lodge (High end) Mantana Tented Camp (Mid range) or Arcadia Cottages (Budget). Meal Plan: (B, L, D)

Day 7

Morning game drive and proceed to Kampala or Entebbe.
Overnight at Serena/Golf Course Hotel /Protea Hotel (High end), Grand Imperial/Boma Guest House(Mid range) Red Chilli (budget).Meal Plan BB

Day 8

Transfer to the Airport for your flight back home. Meal Plan B.
